A bucket elevator or a grain leg elevator is a
machine to haul bulk materials like fertilizer and grains etc. vertically.
Several categories of bulk materials can be elevated by a bucket elevator.
Light metals and heavy metals, fine lumps and large lumps can be elevated by
this machine.
An elevator bucket manufacturer designs the machine with four main parts:
·
Bucket for containing the material
·
A belt for carrying the buckets and
transmitting the pull
·
Means for driving the belt
·
Accessories that load the bucket,
receives the material that is discharged, maintains the belt tension, protects
and encloses the elevator.
From an elevator bucket manufacturer, you can get bucket elevators of three types:
1. Centrifugal
Discharge Elevator- This is the most common type of bucket elevator that is
used for handling grain along ports, rivers and farms. Mostly, all of these
discharge elevators come with spaced buckets that have rounded bottoms.
2. Positive
Discharge Elevator- In this design of bucket elevator manufacturer, the buckets are used for
elevating commodities like candy, popcorn, potato chips etc. So, it requires
gentle handling.
3. Incessant
Discharge Elevator- This type of bucket elevator is mostly used for discharging
sluggish products that do not flow freely.
